Qatari Commander Visited Pakistan And Met President, COAS And CNS

Commander of Qatar Emiri Air Force Major General (Pilot) Salem Hamad Eqail Al-Nabet called on Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa in Rawalpindi. During the meeting, matters of mutual and professional interest and regional security situation were discussed.

The Army Chief said Pakistan values its brotherly relations with Qatar and Pakistan Army also looks forward for enhanced defense and security cooperation with Qatar Armed Forces. The visiting dignitary appreciated contributions of Pakistan Army for regional peace and security and its role in training of Qatar’s armed forces.

In another meeting, Commander of Qatar Emiri Air Force Major General (Pilot) Salem Hamad Eqail Al-Nabet held a meeting with Naval Chief Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi at the Naval Headquarters in Islamabad on Wednesday and discussed matters of mutual interest including regional security situation. The Commander of Qatar Emiri Air Force appreciated Pakistan Navy efforts for maritime security in the region.

Commander of Qatar Air Force Major-General (Pilot) Salem Hamad Eqail Al-Nabet called on President Dr Arif Alvi in Islamabad. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Arif Alvi said Pakistan and Qatar enjoy excellent relations in all areas of mutual interest and Pakistan wants to further strengthen and broaden bilateral cooperation with the brotherly country.

The President said Pakistan and Qatar have great scope for cooperation in the areas of defence and military training and Qatar needs to benefit from defence expertise and training facilities of Pakistan. He also highlighted anti-terrorism efforts made by Pakistan that resulted in defeating militancy and terrorism.
