
The inauguration ceremony of Offline/Online Pakistan China Industrial Expo 2020 held Nov 13, where Badar uz Zaman, Commercial Counsellor of Pakistani Embassy in Beijing said that The ongoing collaboration between China and Pakistan under CPEC is moving from infrastructure into the social development area. “We are now targeting the areas related to health currently. Many Chinese companies are interested in the supply of health-related equipment to Pakistan and they are collaborating with Pakistani universities and formal surgical companies,” said Badr uz Zaman.
The President of Pakistan-China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) Mr Naveed thanked the Chinese businessmen working in Pakistan for putting up a remarkable show where companies of both countries showcased their potential on a wider scale. More than 1,000 participants from both countries attended the exhibition on both offline and online platforms.
In another bilateral event, A Pakistani woman Almas Ilyas won a prize of Highest Potential Overseas Author at the China Online International Literature Festival in Shanghai. Almas started her writing career in Dec 2018, “In the past two years, my novels have become very popular, and one of them has been read more than ten million times on Webnovel,” she said. Webnovel is (webnovel.com), a cross-platform Internet service aiming to bring online literature to the world, was launched by Tencent’s China Literature Group in Apr 2018. It has attracted more than 100,000 overseas writers and published more than 160,000 online literature works and most of them are original authors from BRI countries, including Pakistan, Singapore, Philippines and Bangladesh and so on.
