
The Award Ceremony of the Art Competition on “Azerbaijan-Pakistan Friendship is eternal & invincible” has been held in Islamabad on the eve of the Restoration Day of the Independence of Azerbaijan.
The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Pakistan held an award ceremony for the winners of the drawing contest “Azerbaijan-Pakistan friendship is eternal and unshakable” dedicated to the Republic Day, which was held in May-June this year through the embassy’s social network profiles.
According to the Azerbaijani Embassy in Pakistan, the event was attended by Director-General of the National Arts Council of Pakistan Dr Fouzia Said, representatives of the public and the media of this country, participants of the competition and embassy staff were present.
First of all, an exhibition of handicrafts of the contestants was viewed and a video about Azerbaijan was watched.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Ali Alizadeh said the aim of the competition was to instil in Pakistani youth the interdependence, religious, cultural and heritage similarities of the two brotherly countries, strengthen international relations, promote the talents of young people and strengthen cooperation with them.
Expressing satisfaction with the high level of Azerbaijani-Pakistani relations, Ambassador Ali Alizadeh also said that Armenia’s aggression and provocations against Azerbaijan, its attacks on innocent people have always been condemned by the Pakistani people, society and youth, and Pakistan has always stood by Azerbaijan in difficult times. He thanked the government and people of Pakistan. The ambassador congratulated the winners and participants of the contest on the eve of the anniversary of the restoration of Azerbaijan’s independence on October 18 under the motto “Azerbaijan-Pakistan friendship is eternal and unshakable.” He congratulated the winners and participants and wished them success.
Director-General of the National Arts Council of Pakistan Dr In her speech, Fouzia Said expressed her positive impressions of the event, saying that the coronavirus pandemic has given rise to new ideas and projects in people. Speaking about the similarities between the two countries, the Director-General thanked the ambassador and embassy staff for their contribution to further strengthening the Azerbaijani-Pakistani friendship with such wonderful projects. Dr Fouzia Said also stressed the need to further deepen relations between the two countries, which have always supported each other.
Speaking at the event, other guests shared their impressions of the competition, spoke about the eternal and unshakable friendship between our countries and peoples, and stressed that the Pakistani people will always stand by Azerbaijan and strongly condemn the Armenian aggression and attacks against Azerbaijan.
At the end of the event, participants and winners of the competition were awarded cash prizes, certificates and gifts.
